    Course Description:

Starting up a PMO is not the same for every organization.  It is also necessary to continuously improve the functions of existing PMO’s.  It is typically a huge cultural change, which needs to be managed as such to ensure adoption.  It is also necessary to find the right level of rigor and process to apply, depending on the needs and tolerance level of the organization. This session will present several approaches and tools for starting up or improving a successful PMO.  Many different approaches will be covered based on proven case studies from a diverse set of organizations. For as long as PMO’s have existed, they seem fail as much as they succeed.  This session provides you with the proper tools and knowledge to be successful the first time by understanding and working within the culture of your organization to provide value and ongoing success.
