RAISING AWARENESS IN A WORLD WITH UNCONSCIOUS BIAS
OVERARCHING GOAL
Through experiential learning participants will begin to explore how unconscious bias (which is natural part of the human experience) influences their decision-making within the workplace.
PARTICIPANTS SHOULD….
- Be exposed to the concept of unconscious bias as a normal part of the human experience.
- Explore how their own interpretations of information may be impacted by their unconscious biases.
- Discover ways that they can approach and reduce the impact if their own implicit biases.
- Be exposed to experiences of micro-aggressions in our community and in doing so explore how micro-aggressions are the downstream consequence of implicit bias.
