PMI conducts student outreach to introduce students to the field of project management early in their education. This exposure helps to cultivate foundational skills in organization and management that can be beneficial throughout their lives and future careers. Additionally, by engaging students, PMI aims to grow and sustain the project management community by encouraging a new generation to explore and enter this professional field.

The Ithaca Branch of the PMI Rochester Chapter works with students in the greater Ithaca, Horseheads, and Corning regions. We will meet with student groups, conduct trainings, or offer mentorships. If you are a student and/or a student group and are interested in project management, please reach out to Ithaca's Student Outreach coordinator, Christina Konstantinidou at ck583@cornell.edu

It aims to integrate students into the project management community and equip them with valuable organizational and management skills. The certification is accessible to those who have basic computer skills, can read at a seventh-grade level, and are capable of participating in training and taking exams. The cost for this certification is $128 (Coursera).
