A virtual project team is a group of individuals geographically dispersed who work across space and organizational boundaries to complete projects using communication technology links. This presentation will discuss the various reasons more projects in today’s business environment are utilizing virtual teams, along with the benefits that can be obtained by use of virtual teams.
There are numerous barriers that can impede the success of virtual teams, and this talk will also discuss the top ten barriers along with strategies for removing these barriers. Project success is possible with a virtual team, provided the building blocks for success are properly done. This talk will also discuss the five keys to success when working with virtual teams spanning from getting started to managing the virtual team. An effective tool called the project e-communications plan will be explained, along with the available communication technologies that can be used. This presentation will help make your virtual team and project a success.

His work experience spans engineering, manufacturing, construction, project controls, estimating, contracting and project, program and portfolio management. His projects experience includes information systems, product development, construction and manufacturing. He is a registered Professional Engineer, Project Management Professional, Certified Scrum Master and Certified Cost Professional.
