Speaker: Tom Theimer

 

Tom is a PMP who has work 30 years at Cornell University in network and telecommunications information technologies. Tom has managed a wide variety of installations; from the very first LANs, cable and equipment to leading-edge Classroom AV installations, and a critical 911 system install.  He’s designed numerous building cable plants and has led several voice and data service teams during his project management and infra-engineering career. Tom’s experience with managing network and communications infrastructure projects (to better support Cornell’s high-bandwidth technologies) led to his most recent, and largest, capital project to upgrade 38 campus buildings, 9000 network ports, 2200 VoIP connections, and 1100 wireless access points, within a budget of $16.8M.
