Topic: Learn about Opportunities and Challenges of a Large International Project
This presentation will describe the commercial opportunities that led Corning Incorporated to commit to invest in a new plant in China for the Environmental Technologies division. The various challenges that the project team is facing will be discussed. Key advantages that our project team has will also be highlighted.  An overview of the presenter’s specific area of focus (Kiln Material Handling system) will also be covered.

The audience will gain insight into the unique challenges presented by large international projects.

Our Speaker: Norm Neumayer
Before joining Corning in 1999, Norm worked in various maintenance and engineering roles in the auto industry. With Corning he worked in the corporate engineering group as a project leader and as supervisor of the Equipment Engineering group. In 2012 he transferred to the CET division. He has worked on projects in the US, Germany, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and now China. He has been a PMP since 2005. He is the proud father of two daughters who now reside in Washington DC and San Diego. In the winter he enjoys downhill skiing and hockey. In non-skiing months, he tries to make time for cycling, kayaking and hiking.
